Editing style.css doesn't change anything - GreenTea - Oct 2, 2016 I am trying to align the footer text in the middle and by editing style.css nothing changes. Can someone help me out, what's wrong? * - Rushax - Oct 2, 2016 Whats the link to your code? It's probably just an inherit issue. Method 1) use !important; after your classname + attribute: (Quick but dirty method) Code .classname{ attribute: whatever !important;OR the better seen approach. Method 2) Open up site in browser. Right click & 'Inspect Element' on the element you wish to change. Under styles in the right hand corner there should be a plus icon - click that. Then add the style you wish to add, this should call it by its html element first. Then once you've got the style you want in the inspector, copy & paste over into style.css. E.G Code ul.class-name{If the problem is still recurring after that, there is probably conflicts in the CSS and it would be case of calling the style lower in the stylesheet, or if not that then changing the order of the stylesheets that are being brought in by the <head>. * - Ganja - Oct 3, 2016 using the '!important' tag isn't really the best way. Are you sure you're editting the right css file? Is caching disabled? Also, check if you're not writing CSS inside a @media-query. * - f o r m i d a b l e - Oct 8, 2016 sometimes WP settings override css. Hate when that happens. * - Account of the Gods - Oct 11, 2016 most of the times in case of pirated themes custom.css or stylesheets.css are never working thats one of pains of wordpress, cause small changes take whole fucking day looking in all files lmao anyway things related to posts are in single.php/content-single.php etc for footer it would be footer.php * - device - Oct 16, 2016 Maybe you could check if these changes can be made through the modules and editing capabilities of the template such as Live Theme Editor or others you have installed. * - GreenTea - Oct 17, 2016 Works fine now, well actually, I took the time to kinda build my own website without wordpress. I hate how wordpress works... |
