Bypass Skype application attachment permission - jujuger - Oct 2, 2016

When a program tries to attach to the desktop skype, skype asks the user if they'd like to grant permission to allow said program to interact with their skype.

Is there a way to bypass this?

Not use Skype4COM at all but use Windows API shizzle.

Can you elaborate? Code injection? Memory modification?

This is what he means:

If i am not mistaking i think you can use Windows Messages to accomplish what you're trying to do.Meaning native code.

Here is an example of posting messages :
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms644944(v=vs.85).aspx

Example of sending messages :
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms644950(v=vs.85).aspx

This is an example that shows how to interact with another process:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10407769/directly-sending-keystrokes-to-another-process-via-hooking

And here you have a list of values for the Msg parameter of PostMessage and SendMessage:

https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/misc/SendMessageList.htm

Hope this helps , good luck !

You're one of the most high quality users I've come across, esp in the C# section.

I've worked with the winapi before, but I only understand it from a limited C# perspective. I will look into this further, thanks for not spoonfeeding.

If someone hasn't helped you already you could make a C++ DLL and a C# Program. Would work by injecting the C++ DLL into Skype then you can send a command to the C++ DLL to call a function internally inside Skype.

in C++ add:
1) named pipe witch will receive commands
2) Premade functions for commands(Can call Skype functions, Specifically SendMessage GetContact List, Would be a lot of hard work to get everything :()

in C# add:
1) DLL Injector.
2) Named Pipe to send commands
Anything else you want. C:

Side notes:
1) I'm sure there would be way to call functions from a C# app but it would be extremely hard if not impossible to do it externally.
2) You will need to know your way around a debugger to get offsets to the functions you would need to call
3) If there is a major update to Skype this will not work

Last thing: You're better of using the Skype4COM but once you attach it you inject a DLL witch will call a function to allow the "Skype4COM" to work along with any other external Skype plugins. But for this method you would want to use a "Process in the middle" so if they look at skype plugins they wont see your process under it. Assuming your making a virus to communicate with Skype. If you aren't making a virus to communicate with skype then ignore the "Process in the middle" thing C:... <--- This method would be easier. With a lot less reverse engineering.

Hope I gave some help to you :P

I was working on something like this last year:

It is possible. I'll see if I can dig out the source.

This is what I was thinking.
OP, this is the way to go. Do not use WinAPI methods externally for this, as Post/SendMessage especially don't always work. I used the method in the quoted post when I used to write game bots.

I inject code into skype's process, then I use the skype4com methods from inside skype's process?

Can you elaborate?
