(SERIOUS TALK) lets talk about life... - shittestmutant - Oct 8, 2016 Hi everyone I posted this on another fourm but someone told me I would get more views here and suggestions so am going to also post it here so people can relate and give ideas. Hello everyone I wanted to create a thread to have a Serious talk with the community what I mean by this is not living life to the fullest now this might sound confusing for most of you but am not enjoying life as much as I use to basically I live a daily life right? I go to college come home talk to family members a few friends then go online now what I do online is I mainly browse v3rm visit youtube and then thats one day done. I feel like I am closing myself out of socialising with people and locking myself out of the world I spend most of my life online is what am trying to say ever since I was 7 years old I remember getting a computer for my birthday and it was like the most amazing thing I ever got before I got my computer I use to go outside with friends or just enjoy life. Fast forward to now am 18 years old and everyday I go on my computer I do not go outside anymore I feel like am closing myself away from the world as not socialising or living life to the fullest not making the effort to do anything spending a day at college then returning home to jump straight online from day to night I have a few friends I talk to IRL and online however I don't really post much online So I feel like am not making any effort to make myself known or do anything. Put things short am not enjoying life as much as I use to am living an online life I go outside sometimes but only to like a friends house return home jump on computer another day go out to a party return home jump on computer all day until the next day wake up jump on the computer do you get my point? I use to enjoy doing this routine but know Its just wtf I don't know how I can change this type of routine there is literally nothing to do around where I live there is a shop and a park That is it there is nothing else at all so to ease time away I simply go online and thats my day done next day repeat. So to end on a serious note in the future Am never going to explore other places well fuck knows what will happen in the future Now I know you will say to me don't let anyone tell you how to live your life spend your life online if you like but not if your not enjoying it Going onlien everyday can be fun browsing I understand but Every single day dude gets boring repeat repeat... TLDR: I feel like am locking myself out the world spending my life online and not living in the real world * - VirtualFrost - Oct 8, 2016 Do you have a job? I suggest saving up, I know you said you're never going to explore other places, but why not take a trip somewhere not too far during a holiday or something. Or go somewhere where there will be events, try organise something with your friends. If you aren't enjoying it, you'll easily be able to change that routine once you find another hobby you enjoy. Are you into anything like photography, or skateboarding, video making, something you can do outdoors on your own or with other people? Have you had anything on your mind for a while you want to give a try? * - murrayk8 - Oct 8, 2016 I feel you bro I also spend most of my day sitting on my laptop playing video games but no matter what you do in your life it does get better in the end life can have ups and downs but you just gotta let what happens happen. as you get older in the end it will be better thats a promise just do what makes you happy no matter what anyone says to you. * - BRΞNDΞN - Oct 8, 2016 Maybe. Get up. Walk outside. Then scream because of the sun. * - shittestmutant - Oct 8, 2016 (Oct 8, 2016 04:13 PM)VirtualFrost Wrote: Do you have a job? Once you find something fun for yourself that doesn't require a computer, it'll help you get out, and also possibly meet new friends. Same with working, you can meet new people there too once that happens. Or if you have a passion that requires computers, then obviously you'd enjoy that part. Sucks you don't have friends that want to go out, it does make it tougher, but the only way around it is mostly by meeting new people as well, or giving ideas to them about doing something, they may also be thinking the same thing. * - shittestmutant - Oct 8, 2016 (Oct 8, 2016 04:29 PM)VirtualFrost Wrote: Once you find something fun for yourself that doesn't require a computer, it'll help you get out, and also possibly meet new friends. Hi Japanese no problem I just had this topic on my mind for awhile now and wanted to share it to see if anyone else feels the same way. * - Roronoa_Zoro - Oct 8, 2016 I'm also 18, don't socialize much, rarely go outside, etc. It's up to you to change your lifestyle, when you go to college you can try and do a makeover and be someone new, or you can stay the same and find more things to do. If you choose #2, I recommend anime, programming, pen testing(reversing/testing for vulnerabilities in websites), gaming(which you seem to already do), browsing on forums, learning new things. * - SanctualProductions - Oct 8, 2016 This is the computer life if you do not like it get outside and be a normal person * - shittestmutant - Oct 8, 2016 (Oct 8, 2016 04:46 PM)Roronoa_Zoro Wrote: I'm also 18, don't socialize much, rarely go outside, etc. yeah I understand I need to make the effort instead of being a little bitch to put things straight :( (Oct 8, 2016 04:51 PM)SanctualProductions Wrote: This is the computer life if you do not like it get outside and be a normal person I mean the computer life is fun but gets boring... ugh I guess I fell into the trap of online addiction and now I can't stop using technology 😵 * - murrayk8 - Oct 8, 2016 (Oct 8, 2016 04:54 PM)shittestmutant Wrote: yeah I understand I need to make the effort instead of being a little bitch to put things straight :( online addiction can be annoying anyways if you cant make new friends then don't worry because you have family cant make friends fuck them you have family :) * - K l a u s - Oct 8, 2016 Well you aren't doing drugs yet ,so that's something good. |
