Tutorial: How to distribute Python files as .exe files - Ensky - Oct 14, 2016 This is my first tutorial on Hack Forums, I hope that you enjoy it! This is tried and tested on a Windows 10 machine with Python 3.5 installed. Step 1: Open up the command prompt and install pyinstaller via pip pip install pyinstaller. Step 2: Once PyInstaller has successfully installed, you may CD into the directory of the file, I suggest placing it into its own folder as PyInstaller generates some extra documents. cd <directory> pyinstall <scriptname>.py You're done! “failed to create process" error Head to your Python install folder, /scripts/ and then locate "pyinstaller-script.py" Open it up in your text editor and add quotes around the directory, like so: From #!c:\program files (x86)\python35-32\python.exe To #!"c:\program files (x86)\python35-32\python.exe" Save and exit, now your compile should work! * - Tommy Chong- - Oct 14, 2016 I'd remove the bottom part of your post because that will backfire on you. * - Ensky - Oct 14, 2016 (Oct 14, 2016 04:14 AM)Steff™ Wrote: I'd remove the bottom part of your post because that will backfire on you. Aha, thanks. I still don't know the 'unofficial guidelines' of the forum yet. |
