[Java] Drag and drop GUI? - Monostable555 - Oct 23, 2016 Hi HF! As the title reads I’m looking for a program (IDE) to build my GUI in, I’ve tried Eclipse Window Builder but I can’t get it to work. Is there any other tool that you guys recommend? Thanks in advanced! * - Lexxi. - Oct 23, 2016 (Oct 23, 2016 07:34 AM)Monostable555 Wrote: Hi HF! Heres a list buddy Code IDEs with GUI builders[edit]* - Stealth™ - Oct 23, 2016 You should use JavaFX's Scene Builder. * - madafq - Oct 23, 2016 Try NetBeans, it works for me. * - shashwat97 - Oct 23, 2016 (Oct 23, 2016 08:13 AM)madafq Wrote: Try NetBeans, it works for me. I have only every made a GUI on NetBeans and I dont understand the GUI code, so yea NetBeans is an easy drag and drop, then just edit code to do what you want * - Monostable555 - Oct 23, 2016 Thanks guys, ill definitively try some of these out! I’ve ben using NetBeans for programming console based programs but didn’t know that it had a drag and drop GUI feature! * - Khamul - Oct 23, 2016 (Oct 23, 2016 08:05 AM)Stealth™ Wrote: You should use JavaFX's Scene Builder. This. If I'm not mistaken, Netbeans' GUI builder uses Swing which is deprecated. * - GenericSkid - Oct 23, 2016 (Oct 23, 2016 03:05 PM)Microsoft Word ® Wrote: This. If I'm not mistaken, Netbeans' GUI builder uses Swing which is deprecated. I'm willing to bet money that most people don't care that swing is deprecated and will still continue to use it. That being said JavaFX is pretty great but GUI builders for swing seem much easier to use (I don't mean simply placing components, but also adding property listeners and the like). * - Captain Steve Rogers - Oct 24, 2016 Eclipse Windows Builder isn't bad. You can try NetBeans which has best Windows Builder atm. JFormDesigner is also good but paid. Or maybe try JavaFx and make sexy GUI's. |
