Downgrade from win 10 to 8.1(original copy on my laptop was win 8.1) gone wrong - OG_Breezy - Oct 25, 2016

Essentially, after upgrading to Windows 10, which I kept for 5-6 months I was very dissatisfied with its performance, overall.(was too lazy to revert back to Win 8.1 within the first month of having windows 10). About a week ago I decided to downgrade back to Win 8.1(just to inform you I had no prior knowledge about downgrading, etc., so if I "had" to perform a total reset of my pc beforehand or anything else, that would be my fault.

I now have win 8.1 and I'm not able to install various programs, such as Itunes due to multiple errors related to either my current windows version not being up-to-date(there are 145 updates that are pending installation, but I'm unable to install them b/c of these errors listed: 80071A91, 800F0922).

Cannot install a multitude of microsoft visual service packs, for example:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update

Due to this error:
error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL.type="win32".version="8.050727.4053".publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="amd64".
Please refer to Help and Support for more information

I understand that it was idiotic of me to downgrade without checking on multiple factors(so plz don't berate me over the internet).
Can someone offer some advice/refer me to threads that could potentially help me? Don't feel like taking my laptop to geeksquad and having them spend 1 month working on a laptop that I can fix myself(which I've done like 3 times now in opposition of their advice to take it in for repairs) if anyone's able to connect with me via teamviewer as they have an understanding of the situation I'm in & are able to fix it, I'd appreciate it.(pm me) Also if I'm able to somehow install the original version of windows from my bios(so that it is up-to-date or not, etc.), as someone in another thread mentioned, I'd appreciate some info on doing so

no one going to reply .-.?
