Rate the avatar/sig I made. - Fυcĸleѕѕ - Nov 4, 2016

Made myself a new avatar today, with a signature to go along with it. What do you think?

Well you should do more edits on it. It looks like you've just added a text. But good job man !

Added the text and added the reflection in the glasses.

Well what I can say, it's "Fuckless" !

* - Gilbo - Nov 5, 2016

It's decent, should of probably have faded the reflection a little bit.

Change the font to something different, and make the background transparent

I don't like the font.
I don't like the reflection image too for some reason, put something else, unique.

Looks trippy, what does it represent?

Well the cat looks like he doesn't give a fuck which matches with my username. Plus he's staring at a man burning in hell and not showing any expression = 'Fuckless'.

I'll play around with the reflections to make them look a little more realistic.
Also I'll try making it transparent with a border around it. I tried just transparency and it didn't look great with the head just floating there.

Thanks for the input. 🤝

Ok lets see here:

First you want to pick one focal point. Even tho the reflections are in the sunglasses they still are very distracting to the eye making it jump back and forth between them. If you want to keep them, tho i recommend you don't as it just looks weird, you make them subtle and not overpowering.

Second is work on your balance. You have a black and white photo of a cat, but his lenses are in color. This is do-able but you have to make it blend better and blend your way in and out of color. Or you can just go black and white and make it easy on yourself.

Third is believability. This just screams fake. There is no way a reflection in sunglasses would look like that, and that really takes away from any artwork. The things you do to a piece can be totally impossible, but they have to look like they belong there.

Finally that text is god right awful. Just get rid of it all together. You want your text to look like it belongs as well not stick out like a sore thumb. Text is a bitch so i would hold off until you get better before you start adding it.

This will come with practice as you learn the basics of design. All of which you can develope by using tutorial and just learning from your mistakes.

I did that on purpose to give it strong contrast.

Learn to take criticism. Iv been doing graphics for a very long time. I may not be a professional but I know some things. Take my advice. You need it.

I took the criticism just fine, and only replied to the statements I didn't fully agree with.
