RAT/botnet stress testing differences - Plexcoo - Nov 5, 2016 In terms of power, are there really any significant differences between RAT/HTTP botnet DDoS functionality? Never really used a RAT to DDoS before but it sparked my interest after seeing LuminosityLink's stress test feature. * - Autist - Nov 5, 2016 Http botnets are not ment for ddos as they take minutes to send a ddos attack. And the LL ddos function sucks, its horrible i recommend a irc botnet as they send attacks faster * - Lorenzon - Nov 5, 2016 It does not really matter, it's all about how the attack methods are coded. If you for an example code your own RAT and steal the same attack methods that the best http botnet use, the power would be the same. How the bots are connected to the commander doesn't matter. But in overall, RATs are often coded to have functions that's just for fun while http/irc botnets have better ddos/money making functions. But to judge the difference between one rat and a http botnet you would need to see the code and test them. |
