[TUT]How NOT to be a script kiddie and become a true hacker[TUT] - Screwbacca - Jul 16, 2010 Okay guys this is Jedz. Apparently there are alot of skids on this forum. This is a great forum and all, but in order ATTEMPT to keep the amount of skids from increasing, I'm going to write a tutorial on how to not be a script kiddie and become a legitimate hacker. And since some people aren't exactly clear on what a skiddie is, this tutorial will help. So lets get started. For more support go here: http://catb.org/esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html Learn a language of hackers. Such as Perl,Python,C/C++, or Java. Not to disrespect any of the non-mentioned language coders out there, but these are what the main exploits are coded in. Perl is the language most used for exploitation and flooding, etc. I'm not saying ALL the people out there coding crypters, RATS, Keyloggers in VB.NET are skids as most of them code in a language above. It is NOT a good idea to code ONLY in VB.NET as it teaches you bad programming habits. So basically, try to learn a couple of the languages mentioned above. Batch is extremely important as well. Learning batch will help you with alot things in your hacking career down the road. Become familiar with Linux and Windows operating systems. Learn about kernels, etc. Learn about exploits. The reason being is because you want to DISCOVER Windows exploits and not just merely USE them. Its fine to use exploits but finding them and sharing them will highly increase your status in the hacking community. As for learning Linux- Linux is the main operating system for hackers. You have much more access to the core and root of your computer. It has been commonly said that hacking in Windows is like trying to waltz in a body cast. Find Windows exploits and learn Linux. Please. Don't steal other people's programs without giving credit and know how they function. This means don't steal a source code and go around saying "hey ppl look at this ub3r 1337 program i coded. yeah it rul3zzzz". Just don't do it. On a forum like this, you are likely to get rep fucked if you do it. And if your gonna use another program, at least know how the damn program works. Most skids out there don't even know how HALF of their frickin tools work. So if you wanna be a hacker. CODE the programs. And FFS, don't brag about how you are a sup3r 1337 cod3r or hAX0r you are. Prove it in your work. Prove it in your coding. When you start making programs. Share them with the communtiy. If you want to gain status in a hacking communtiy, such as HF, share your source-code. Not ALL of it, but ones that hackers find useful, even if its just a snippet. The better hacker/coder you are, the more likely you will be accepted into a crew. Once you are in a good crew, things will get better from there. Sharing good source and good programs=+rep Don't constantly advertise that your a blackhat, or super good at a section of hacking. Most true black hats sometimes never even admit that they are. My schoolmate was always good with computers, and then one day he told me he defaced our school website. I looked on the website and surely, it was defaced. All those years, I thought he was just good at C++ programming, when he actually was a blackhat. He later told me he had defaced tons of sites and has a botnet. The point is, don't rave about being a black hat. In some situations, it will get you in trouble. As Backtrack's bootup statement says: "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear". To prove yourself a worthy hacker, write some tutorials on hacking (ie RATs,keyloggers,SQLi and XSS, and coding) and let your actions do the talking. Well thats it and I hoped you learned something from this tutorial.🤝 Jedz * - Axy - Jul 16, 2010 Nice overview. Sounds like what a hacker should be. Must take quite a bit of effort. * - Tate - Jul 16, 2010 You had me convinced until you went into a tangent about rep. You should remove that, and keep it as is without the final section. Other than that, good tutorial. I personally don't code in Perl, Python, or Java, but I do code in C++. (And I know more than making a stupid fucking console calculator, gah I hate it when people are using system STD and calling themselves fucking C++ coders.) * - Screwbacca - Jul 16, 2010 thanks for the feedback guys. Appreciate it. 👍 * - Rembrandt - Jul 16, 2010 That's a nice a tutorial dude! I don't like the color though. * - DarkSeven46 - Jul 16, 2010 Nice tutorial/Guide, will help 90% of HF members. * - HurrDurrrr - Jul 16, 2010 thanks, good TUT, will guide people like me and also ones below me in the right direction * - Big Smoke - Jul 16, 2010 bullshit a hacker is someone who can use his brain to fight * - Strife - Jul 16, 2010 Where can I find kernel tutorials? * - Screwbacca - Jul 16, 2010 Thanks guys I appreciate it. I had some sources stolen from me before I really thought someone needed to do a tutorial on this. As for kernels, search google ^_^ * - michaelmhmhmh - Jul 16, 2010 Learning bash will help you with alot things in your hacking career down the road. "batch" make u look more professional nice tutor, or did u actually been to right that??? lol * - Screwbacca - Jul 16, 2010 Okay thanks bro. Its changed * - Risen - Jul 16, 2010 A very very nicely laid out and written tutorial. I've seen that file you posted for more info awhile ago but forgot what it was called ;P. Hopefully this will decrease the number of script kiddies hanging around here. Great job man; much love. Risen * - Screwbacca - Jul 16, 2010 Thanks Risen! What was that file about? * - Cognitive Decline - Jul 16, 2010 Asking for rep has nothing to do with being a script kiddie. And this isn't a hacking community, you should know that. As you see in the report option their is "Black hat activity". Real hacking communities are underground websites that only a few people know about. If you want to get into real black hat work, don't look here. |
