Accessing hackforums on a blocked network - Rhinemann - Nov 11, 2016 Well after returning to hackforums I had to return to University and we use a registration network called Keysurf which either Hackforums blocks or they block hackforums. I emailed via support on Hackforums and was told that it was not going to be unblocked. My question is does anyone have a way to access hackforums which is actually allowed on this network? I'm not sure if proxies are but that's my only option.... If proxy is the only way, which ones work? Willing to pay for the proxies ofc... * - Sajuuk - Nov 11, 2016 Either use a VPN or proxy. * - minimalist - Nov 11, 2016 Just tunnel to a residential IP of your own or subscribe to a service. I set up a box at home for my brother and I'm technically illiterate. It'll just look like a P2P connection and you probably won't break any campus rules. * - Rhinemann - Nov 11, 2016 (Nov 11, 2016 05:37 PM)Sajuuk Wrote: Either use a VPN or proxy. Do you know which are not blocked? I know HF blocks a lot of proxies. Would prefer not to use a VPN. I was accessing via a VPS but it was too slow. I'll probably go with an unblocked proxy so i can isolate it to one of my browser tabs without interfering with my work and stuff. * - Sajuuk - Nov 11, 2016 (Nov 11, 2016 05:48 PM)Eobard Thawne Wrote: Do you know which are not blocked? Don't know if there's an actual list of the ones that are blocked. If there isn't just test each one you use (make sure you're logged out of HF before you attempt to connect with a proxy/VPN). * - Leroy Jethro Gibbs - Nov 13, 2016 (Nov 11, 2016 05:48 PM)Eobard Thawne Wrote: Do you know which are not blocked? At least you wouldn't have to deal with remoting into it. * - Crypticâ„¢ - Nov 13, 2016 (Nov 11, 2016 05:40 PM)Minimalist Wrote: Just tunnel to a residential IP of your own or subscribe to a service. Softether is very easy to use although I prefer just openvpn. And browse HF from wherever you want. Setting up a VPN on a VPS is a bad idea because although the IP may not be blocked right now, it will be in the future as Omni updates his blocklists. |
