"Deal Threads" or "Reputation threads" - ๖ۣۜEnlightened - Nov 17, 2016 Hi, Do not take "Reputation thread" anything to do with the reputation system, no relation at all.... My suggestion is something like bitcointalk, thread such as: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=381041.0 It allows the public to publicly reference successful deals OR for HF's case any open deal disputes/marketplace alerts with the rule that in order to post a negative/deal with caution on their reputation thread a marketplace warning or a deal dispute link must be included. Pros: - Publicly displays the reputation (of those who choose to) of users on HF in regard to DEALS rather than the current reputation profile which not always relates to marketplace information - Allows new members to easily access marketplace information about a user who chooses to make one of these threads - Puts apart trustworthy users from scammers. Anyone who puts up a reputation thread obviously isn't afraid of their public marketplace reputation therefor it already shows overall good look for the user. Cons: - Possible miss-use (like fake vouches) - Flaming (I guess that would be up to how strict rules are/moderated?) Honestly I think it's a good idea...I would make one though I'm not sure which section is the best? (Marketplace discussions?) Thanks * - Riyu - Nov 17, 2016 Fake vouches and harassment would be a huge problem tbh. I think the way it is now is fine * - Vitani - Nov 17, 2016 This will never get implemented because people will just abuse this with fake vouches and such. As Sam said, this will do more harm then good. * - Egregious Jr. - Nov 17, 2016 A big no. This would get abused like mad. * - AxiS JR - Nov 17, 2016 Everything in the current system is fine, the only downfall at the moment is scammers and comprimisations. Personally I would have a passphrase implemented to all accounts, upgraded or not. The passphrase would have to contain six letters minimum, one symbol and one number; this would help a lot of compromisations. As to scamming, well we can't stop scammers because you never know when someone turns rogue, however, we can stop this by having a better section for deal disputes. Although OP, your idea is pretty amusing. Best of luck with this. * - Bluffer - Nov 17, 2016 Ideally that would be nice to see on HF but some features that are great for other forums would never work here. This might be one of those. |
