Getting IP from Proxy Pipe protected Minecraft server - Plexcoo - Nov 29, 2016 Hey, is there any way to get the original IP behind a Proxy Pipe protected server? Host2IP resolvers and Wireshark only gives me the IP to Proxy Pipe, not the server directly. Is there any way to bypass this? The Minecraft server domain is also connected to their forum website domain as well if I also might add. Edit: Ended up being able to log the IP by getting their server to contact another server on their forums, thanks. No longer needing help with this, closing thread. * - s0c1al - Nov 29, 2016 No. There is no way to bypass this unless they have a subdomain setup to bypass PP * - Diaxin - Nov 29, 2016 It's possible to scan for HTTP backends, although I don't think that's possible in Minecraft, generally the point of a DDoS protected reverse proxy is to mask the origin. * - Plexcoo - Nov 29, 2016 (Nov 29, 2016 10:12 AM)Diaxin Wrote: It's possible to scan for HTTP backends, although I don't think that's possible in Minecraft, generally the point of a DDoS protected reverse proxy is to mask the origin. If they haven't configured their webserver to prevent direct IP access via a Host header you can use zmap / zgrab to scan the internet for the site, decent chance it'll work. * - Covalent - Nov 29, 2016 scan the internet and check for motd on port 25565 boom * - Archyb0t - Nov 29, 2016 You won't get it through proxypipe, you'll have to get it through a dumbass mistake by the server where they expose their IP, or scan their datacenter IPs until you find it (assuming they didn't firewall it). |
