Allow members to move their own threads within the section - 'Ben - Dec 2, 2016 Every now and then we all make a thread in the wrong section. Id imagine members of staff get plenty of messages daily asking for threads to be moved. How about allowing members to move their own threads within the section, for example; If I post in the Deal dispute section but really it was supposed to go in the Secondary sellers area, I could just move it. Instead of deleting the thread OR PMing a member of staff. When I say section I mean you couldn't take a thread from Graphics and move it to Gaming, only the categories that fall under that tab. Now it won't eliminate the problem entirely but it would cut down on it a lot. Of course you would have to put some kind of restriction on it, perhaps Leet+, certain amount of posts, etc.. Now I don't make sites, I don't know it's possible, could even be too much work for little gain. Just an idea, be gentle 👍 * - Mαxim - Dec 2, 2016 I feel like that power should stay with staffs. If someone posts in the wrong section, report it and it's taken care of. * - 'Ben - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:37 AM)Mαxim Wrote: I feel like that power should stay with staffs. I'm talking about your own threads, not anyone else's, that would be stupid. * - Sam Sepiol - Dec 2, 2016 Report button would become useless, so it's a no no. * - Vitani - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:37 AM)Mαxim Wrote: I feel like that power should stay with staffs. Just look at the morchid incident, and you'll know why this is a bad idea. Even mentors can't move threads (anymore). * - sʜᴀʏ - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:42 AM)Sam Sepiol Wrote: Report button would become useless, so it's a no no. No? There are more report options. OT: I think it would be a cool idea, maybe have a cooldown on it tho so people don't just move threads all the time. Not sure if it will be added * - Motusora - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:43 AM)Vitani Wrote: I agree with Maxim. Put a limit on, something like 1 every 24 hours same as junking threads. If you post constantly in the wrong section(s) you're trolling/doing it on purpose. * - Eagle 95 - Dec 2, 2016 By understanding how HF works and what sections it has, you can post your thread in the correct section 99% of the time. If by any means you make a mistake, you can always PM a staff member to move your thread. They'll gladly do it. So no, I don't agree with this suggestion. * - 'Ben - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:49 AM)Eagle 95 Wrote: By understanding how HF works and what sections it has, you can post your thread in the correct section 99% of the time. Staff are very helpful no denying that I think it would just make it easier for everyone but I can see some perfectly valid points being made Just a suggestion 👍 * - LastSession - Dec 2, 2016 When you implement something like that it should be for Ub3rs only and that you can move your thread just one time. * - Prince™ - Dec 2, 2016 Nope I think it's fine with the way that moving perms are with staffs. * - Mαxim - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:39 AM)Ben Wrote: I'm talking about your own threads, not anyone else's, that would be stupid. Still. Feel like that power should remain for staffs only. I don't see how people can accidently post in the wrong section. * - SumoWrestler - Dec 2, 2016 Just post in the right section lol * - Vitani - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:45 AM)Ben Wrote: Move YOUR own threads, he was moving any and everything. Still, when you are moving your own threads (trolling threads) just to create chaos and such it could be seen as abuse. 1 move a day would fix this, but that does not really make this a good idea. Right now the system works, no need to change it right? |
