Display the ban reason. - SIM-2273342 - Dec 2, 2016 Unsure of if this has been previously recommended; however, haven't seen it up here before. Instead of constantly having to search the bans.php page in search for a specific members' ban reason, I think it'd be easier to display the ban reason directly on their account. Perhaps under the signature of the user when you arrive on their page. If this has been recommended and rejected then I apologize, I simply feel this would be rather helpful. Omni has responded to this with the following: (Dec 2, 2016 05:43 PM)Omniscient Wrote: How about on the TS page instead? * - Argue - Dec 2, 2016 This would take a lot of effort to do, so I doubt it would get implemented, but I am totally supporting this. Imagine having to ban 200 users a day and writing personal descriptions on bans for every user they banned when they could be moderating the site or doing something to improve the site. Just doesn't work like that. * - minimalist - Dec 2, 2016 You can enable the option if you install the HF Enhancement Suite userscript. http://pastebin.com/EX3dWQuc * - FunctionDev - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:09 PM)Argue Wrote: This would take a lot of effort to do, so I doubt it would get implemented, but I am totally supporting this. Just doesn't work like that. Or do what another forum (Not going to name any names) does and just have preset answers instead of typing everything out. So say if someone is multi accounting, they click on the account, click ban, and there is a drop down box of a list of all different ban reasons, they click "Multi Accounting" and click ban and boom, there ya go. * - Raz Riverblade - Dec 2, 2016 The ban list is short enough to Ctrl+f the user. Don't think Omni is gonna bother with this. * - SIM-2273342 - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:14 PM)Ʀaz Ʀiverblade Wrote: The ban list is short enough to Ctrl+f the user. It wouldn't be any different. * - Raz Riverblade - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:09 PM)Argue Wrote: This would take a lot of effort to do, so I doubt it would get implemented, but I am totally supporting this. It's just nit shiwn on the profile. * - Brotherhood. - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:14 PM)Ʀaz Ʀiverblade Wrote: The ban list is short enough to Ctrl+f the user. As a user said above,it can't be enabled very easily, if so, it would be a lot Easier for everyone * - SIM-2273342 - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:12 PM)Minimalist Wrote: You can enable the option if you install the HF Enhancement Suite userscript. Didn't Silicon Valley backdoor his user script? I'm not tryna fuck with an outside source like that. * - Mr. Robot - Dec 2, 2016 I think it's a good idea- I can't see the bans.php page anyhow but maybe just add it to their trust scan or something - a box at that bottom that reflects their ban reason. * - The Blunt - Dec 2, 2016 Ban reasons are shown in MyBB. Closed reasons probably are not, and MyBB is very customization, hence the way it is here. * - FiftyTwo - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:18 PM)Romania Wrote: Didn't Silicon Valley backdoor his user script? I said HIS user script was backdoored and then when he was banned he fucked mad people over (from what I remember). It's not worth the risk, regardless of who made HFES. * - minimalist - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:18 PM)Romania Wrote: Didn't Silicon Valley backdoor his user script? The script isn't set to push updates, you're free to look through the code and inspect it for unfitting code. * - FiftyTwo - Dec 2, 2016 (Dec 2, 2016 05:21 PM)Romania Wrote: Yes, I am aware. Well, I mean, when I use anything on a PC, I do it on a VM. You could do that if you're really unsure about it. |
