Job Offer for After College! - Jess. - Dec 2, 2016

Just got a call the other day with an offer for a full time job after I graduate from college in May! My position would be a systems developer for an insurance company. It has pretty good pay considering it's right out of college and great benefits! Haven't made a decision yet, but I'm pumped to at least have an offer already from somewhere!!

That's awesome, congratulations buddy. It's always re-assuring to have options available, especially that early on. I wish you the best of luck in your career if you proceed with the offer! 🤝

Congratulations! I worked at an insurance company too, and it was ehh in regards to technology. I hope you enjoy your work.

Thanks everyone! Haven't quite made a decision, but I'm leaning towards taking the job! It would be so nice to not have to completely worry about school anymore!

Take the job brother. You are fortunate enough to have an offer, most won't get one immediately after like you.
Pay isn't really important at our age, but the job experience is.

That's awesome man! Take the offer as it's something to get you going from the start.

* - Jess. - Dec 4, 2016

Yeah, I figured it's at least something to start with and if I end up not liking the company or city it's in, I can use it as experience on my resume and go somewhere else!

This exactly.

Worst case scenario you won't like the company so you'll leave and be able to go get another job with your College Degree AND some experience in a real-world company.

I'm just afraid I'm going to take the offer and then I'd end up getting a different opportunity in a place I'd rather work.

Just work here until you find a better opportunity.

This experience will help you a lot.
