Simplistic Red Thread Design // Rate My Work --- Smile :) - Nevieth - Dec 3, 2016 ![]() ![]() Also have another thread header, but I prefer the one I used already. Spoiler (Click to View) I'm back! I took a lot of your feedback and tried to take advantage of it! I worked on my spacing, on fusing the colors together, and on the fonts used. I used two fonts in this. One for the header, and another for the rest. For those curious, the fonts used were Infinity and Whola, respectively. There wasn't anything special to do with the design itself since I wasn't really selling anything, I just made this to showcase the color uses and design itself. So please don't mind the cliche quotes and sayings. haha. Let me know what you think. For those unsure, I made this from scratch and have the .psd to prove it, even though I'm shit at organization and it looks like a crazy joke. :P * - Tides - Dec 3, 2016 My 2 cents: Color: Personally, while i'm fond of the warm color, I don't really think it fuses well together with the background. When I see mountains of snow, it gives off a "chill" feeling, so I think if you tried to match that with a very light blue color, it would look better. Fonts: I love the font at the beginning, but when you get to the Products portion, it starts to look really "round", which doesn't really tie in well with the first font IMO. Otherwise this is really high quality, and impressive work. * - Nevieth - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 07:30 PM)Jauɀ Wrote: My 2 cents: I didn't think about that, but I totally get the cold mountain on red complaint, it does feel a bit off. :P What do you think would overlay better? I'm looking to keep the red look, so I need something that gives off that warmth feel. I also understand what you mean with the fonts. I was looking for a font that wasn't super thin like the header, that could be used on the rest of the design without being difficult to read. I'll keep experimenting. Feedback duly noted, thank you. * - Tides - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 07:35 PM)Nevieth Wrote: I didn't think about that, but I totally get the cold mountain on red complaint, it does feel a bit off. :P The font at the beginning is perfect. Honestly i'm not sure what backdrop would look better with red, perhaps a sunrise? * - Hash G. - Dec 3, 2016 I'm not a fan of the font, and you could better that price table. But overall good job OP. * - Nevieth - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 07:44 PM)Hash G. Wrote: I'm not a fan of the font, and you could better that price table. But overall good job OP. I can understand the complaint about the font, but the header/ top page font will stay. I'll have to find another one for the rest of the thread though. :P Oh and the price table was just an example, it can easily be re-edited completely. It's more so to fill up space, to show a semi complete thread design. Thanks for the feedback! * - SIM-2908357 - Dec 3, 2016 Too big in width & work on your typography. Also, don't repeat the same image twice. * - Nevieth - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 08:17 PM)Akzius Wrote: Too big in width & work on your typography. Sure I suppose. The design is supposed to be wide though, that's not really an issue. I'm working on a huge monitor, I have to have it at least 1200x2000 in order to even read it. Thanks though for the feedback, duly noted. * - SIM-2908357 - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 08:21 PM)Nevieth Wrote: Sure I suppose. The design is supposed to be wide though, that's not really an issue. Trust me 1000px is more than enough width for a thread design. * - skelly76 - Dec 3, 2016 Looks cool GLWS someone buy this HQ product from HQ member dont hesitate member is very HQ good luck selling this * - Windows 98 - Dec 3, 2016 I think it's dope! Looks really good. Font isn't bad in my eyes. * - Method - Dec 3, 2016 (Dec 3, 2016 08:24 PM)Akzius Wrote: Trust me 1000px is more than enough width for a thread design. Oh thank you Windows 98! I appreciate it. I picked the font for that very reason. I needed it easily readable, while not being basic Verdana or something. My monitor is large, and it just looks nice when they're wide and sleek.
