Why is there a prestige amount to post in the Counter Strike section? - Aedeme - Dec 8, 2016
Every other gaming section I can post in, but when I try to post in the Counter Strike section, it says I need 25 prestige. Was this accidentally placed there, or is there a reason behind it?

The reasoning behind it is because there were simply too many multi-accounters and trolls in the section.
This limitation has made it considerably harder for people to do it.

There is a reason behind that I can't say because I don't use that section much someone experienced with that section will explain the reason behind it.

What kind of trolling occurs in a discussion about Counter Strike? lol. That's a pretty weird place for trolls to stop and mess around in I would think.

This, Omni made this happen in October I think. Its just to keep the spamming to a minimum.

We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. The answer to your questions should be contained in there.

Back on topic, Omni makes this kind of limitations to reduce spam & trolling. For 25 prestige, you'll have to work your ass unless you buy l33t or donate for an award.

people in the counter strike hack "scene" (i struggle to even call it a scene) are extremely immature. there were waaay too many multiaccounts, accounts made only for trolling, etc. while i admit it was somewhat entertaining, the section is a lot better with it. albeit a bit quieter.

Almost seems like Omni takes his CSGO seriously. 🤝 But as mentioned most places where serious topics are supposed to be the norm, people shitpost their brains out, and troll topics that could have bad effects. Such as the Politics, Philosophy, and Religion section which now requires 25 prestige for non-upgraded members.
