[Official Group] Royalty // Code Into Royalty - exploit.c - Dec 9, 2016 ![]() Hey all, want to join our awesome programming sector in Royalty run by me? We're here with a lovely contest, only 3 people will gain entry. You can pick from one of the three following tasks, do note there are strict requirements on entries. _____________________________________________________ Requirements: 1. No scam reports (open/unresolved/valid) 2. You must not be involved in any criminal or questionable activity 3. Morals are required, immoral people need not apply 4. You must produce a final result yourself, you can work in a team but each individual must produce an original entry _____________________________________________________ Challenge #1 Your task is to create a blogging platform with a WYSIWYG editor, ability to set public/private/password-protected posts, with XSS/CSRF protection, and bruteforce protection. You can write this is any programming language you feel comfortable with! Challenge #2 Your task is to create a tool that will extract data from multiple websites (ie, pastebin, debpaste, etc) and have a searchable interface (either via CLI or Web), and produce all results to a file. Note: you may not use public APIs to gather this data, you must create your own crawler. Usage of 3rd party crawling modules will result in disqualification. You can write this in any programming language you feel comfortable with! Upon complete, PM me what you have and I'll test and tell you if you've passed or not, if you pass, you get access to a password-protected subforum in Royalty and access to a ton of private goodies (along with being in Royalty) Let's begin PMing for help will result in disqualification * - Mom - Dec 9, 2016 I'm not going to try to join, but I wanted to wish everyone good luck :) * - Papa Cuda - Dec 9, 2016 Oh hey welcome back exploit.c. We thought you got dead. * - ze-slade - Dec 9, 2016 Be careful when opining the vs files, there's an exploit to hide rats and such in them that's being sold here. * - Cibor - Dec 9, 2016 This is an official recruitment thread. * - Null Agent - Dec 9, 2016 Might give this a try, good luck everyone. * - [▲■●] - Dec 9, 2016 Challenge #2: what data should be extracted? Do we choose something or is that up to the user * - exploit.c - Dec 9, 2016 (Dec 9, 2016 10:45 AM)[▲*****●] Wrote: Challenge #2: what data should be extracted? They're not complex at all, I'm able to hammer them out in about 15 minutes, with Googling it'd take you 30-45 minutes at max, there's even youtube series about them - you just have to put in the time and effort. Baring in mind that I'll be checking to ensure you didn't just steal someone else's work/modify others. I'm judging on multiple factors, let me example them: Factor 1: Can it scale? This meaning, is it only capable of one operation at a time? Or does it implement threading? Multiple subprocesses? etc. Factor 2: Quality of code. This meaning, I don't want to see messy code, it's got to be neat, and reasonable Factor 3: Desire to learn and grow -- this isn't really a judge factor, but we all have room to grow, it's not a complex task, it's not designed to be complex, it's designed to test a few different areas, first is that you have an understating of a modular system (ie: blog system has multiple different components such as posting, editing, saving, publishing, etc), understanding of what the code does, how it's supposed to function, etc. * - daymon - Dec 9, 2016 (Dec 9, 2016 06:11 PM)exploit.c Wrote: 2. That is, if you wanted one with at least some form of quality. 🤝 * - exploit.c - Dec 9, 2016 (Dec 9, 2016 06:17 PM)Sin+ Wrote: I'd have to disagree with that; the second one I could probably knock out in an hour or so, but the first one would definitely take some time. It'll take a fair amount of time (2-4 hrs) Python? Reasonable amount of time (1-2 hrs) Ruby/Ruby on Rails? Reasonable amount of time (1-2 hrs) NodeJS? Reasonable amount of time (45min-2hrs depending on skill level) PHP? Dead simple, (25-45 min) The list goes on, it really all depends on your skill level * - Vittorio - Dec 9, 2016 Ahh glad to see Cibor went with the idea. * - semendaemon - Dec 10, 2016 These challenges are piss easy (Though #1 would take a significant amount of time, unlike 2#) and nobody should complain about them. I like the new application process. |
