To circumvent the no .exe's (even spoofed ones) on many email providers, is it possible to have a link where once they click on the link it autodownloads? What would be required to do this?

You could provide a "Direct link"

If you own a Domain/Webhosting this should be pretty easy

Ex.
Code
http://[YOU_URL]/FILE.exe

Or you could do this for google drive
  1. Add file on Gdrive

  2. Give file view permission for all users

  3. generate direct download link here: https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2direct/



You can also generate this link yourself

There are ways to do this you can simply host the website and have it so that once it opens the user who has clicked the link will automatically get something downloaded, that would be referred to as what I would call as a ghost download I dont know if this was much help but just a thought.

Any website that is like website.com/file.exe is an automatic download, rghost has an automatic download, pomf.cat has one
Or create a free website, upload your file to the server and go to yourwebsite.com/file.exe and it'll auto download, but not auto execute
