My Xbox one got hit by lightning - Salute - Dec 26, 2016 I was playing modern warfare remastered and all of a sudden the power went out and I heard a pff noise and bang it wouldn't turn back on. It's the battlefield one edition Xbox one slim so it doesn't have a power brick that's external any suggestions. * - Knucklez. - Dec 26, 2016 You should have a one year warranty through Microsoft.. (long wait scenario) Where did you purchase from? Unplug everything and wait a few minutes before trying again. * - Salute - Dec 26, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 10:08 AM)Knucklez. Wrote: You should have a one year warranty through Microsoft.. (long wait scenario) GameStop but I didn't get the warranty. Bout to try what u said. * - fapninja - Dec 26, 2016 Power surge. It will have a fuse, but it may not be easily accessible. * - Knucklez. - Dec 26, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 10:15 AM)Salute Wrote: GameStop but I didn't get the warranty. Amazon would be your friend in this case. Your best bet would be ringing up Microsoft because you are covered by them for 1 year. * - Salute - Dec 26, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 10:26 AM)Knucklez. Brand new items can be exchanged within 30 days. You still may have a chance with Gamestop. Don't forget your receipt lol * - Industry - Dec 26, 2016 Are you serious, the new Xbox One S consoles don't have power bricks on them? What happens if you aren't running the power cable through a surge protected plug, this shit happens? Ridiculous. I'd suggest looking up or contacting their support. This should be covered as it's a flaw in their cheap production of consoles. * - HEISENPUG - Dec 26, 2016 well that sucks, hope you got a warranty on it. * - deathrovv - Dec 26, 2016 It's a sign from God and he's telling you to game on the PC. * - Raleway - Dec 26, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 10:15 AM)Salute Wrote: GameStop but I didn't get the warranty. They come with warranty already, no need to pay for it. * - Quackles - Dec 26, 2016 Go to myservice.xbox.com and register your Xbox, get it collected by them, they'll fix it as it'll be in warranty. Don't attempt manually opening anything up, it'll void your warranty, best to go with Xbox directly. * - illuminatiā² - Dec 27, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 10:15 AM)Salute Wrote: GameStop but I didn't get the warranty. Bout to try what u said. If it hasn't been past 30 days you can return it to gamestop and swap it out. And I'm pretty sure every xbox one console comes with a 1 year warranty regardless if you pay for one. Contact microsoft. * - darkend - Dec 27, 2016 (Dec 26, 2016 02:28 PM)Industry Wrote: power cable through a surge protected plug You can just replace the fuse, look up how to take apart a Xbox One and its placed near enough right next to the power plug socket. I had a issue with my console a few months ago but fixed it by replacing the fuse. If you need further help just contact me via Pm * - Marvelous - Dec 27, 2016 That's what you get for talking shit to a God. Talk shit get struck by lightning. |
