Phone wiped - lost Google auth UID=2575728 - UID_Panther - Dec 30, 2016
My phone was wiped due to it being bricked. I was using Google Authenticator (my worst mistake) and now I can't get into my account.
I have tried to recover the google auth database from my phone but it appears everything is lost.
I really need help with this, as my web hosting business is partially dependent on the sales thread on this forum.

Did you get the phone unbricked? Also what kinda of device was it? Also the biggest thing, are you rooted? If you were I know there's some fairly good data recovery apps for rooted devices..Might be worth a shot running them and seeing if they can dig up anything.

When you sign up for the gauth on HF you are given a backup key. You should be saving it, Writing it down.

I would suggest using Authy instead to be honest.

What I find annoying is that you run a web hosting 'business' yet fail to even keep your own online accounts secure. Secure as in you were given a backup key that'd save you from this, but you didn't care enough to write it down.
Anyway, this is something Omni said recently, haven't seen him publicly recover another account since this

I've just stopped helping people recover accounts because it's incredibly time consuming. Honestly, you're told to backup the key. You're also told to use Authy. So there is really no excuse for your negligence.
Don't expect me to recover.

Yeah I did all that, but its gone completely.

Yeah I did, like 2 years ago when I made my account and can't find it.
