force install android app? - deccandon - Jan 7, 2017

without sending user link or him clicking on link,is there way to remotly install app in android?

No, this is impossible unless you make the user download it thinking that it's legitimate.

i.e a Firefox update or a Google Chrome update.

I actually had an idea to do this with the help of a MITM attack. Would probably be really hard to do and have many logical fallacies. I'm not experience with android exploitation, this is just an idea.

Android (sometimes) has automatic updating on in the store, so like at midnight, if there is wifi it'll update any apps that, well, have updates available. Say you intercepted the update and replaced it with a file you want the user to download.
This is where all my fallacies come into play. 1. Does the store download an entirely new apk for the app? 2. Does it verify the file by calling up the server for a checksum? 3. Does it install a new version of the app entirely (while keeping settings and cache) or just patch it with a smaller file?
Like I said, just a theory. Maybe worth looking into. Also, you'd have to see if the person has automatic updating on.

1. yes, I'm pretty sure the store gathers the latest APK, but if the app already exists, it just overwrites the original code.

2. probably.

3. keeps the settings the same, hence why some people have errors with cache because the latest version of an app doesn't support certain settings or bugs out because whatever is in cache is corrupted.

i'm pretty sure 99% of people have auto-update on.

firefox developer's edition is a fucking fgt because it updates 100 times every 24 hours; each update is ~35mb.

Its not true no one can force install any app without the knowledge of owner(user) permission.
One of the member is telling that he could help you do not go with it.Its fake.Their is no app that you can install on others phone if you do so they will easily get to know it.
