Junking Threads / Mass Editing of threads. - Armada - Jan 8, 2017

Firstly, I am simply curious about an official reason to this question. Not questioning the policy or have any plans to do such a thing, but recent events and well, account closures left me wondering.

Why is Mass junking/editing frowned upon?
Is it simply for the SEO factor, or is there another reason?

I know a lot of members who have either mass edited or wiped previous and old posts, I junk irrelevant stuff myself when needed. But why is it so bad to wipe my threads all together, or mass edit the content out?

Not that I have any plan on doing such a thing, but I would think being I typed it and it is technically content I wrote and posted I should/could wipe it as I deemed fit?

Cheers.

No particular reasons other than hurting SEO and selfishness.
