Police Raid - Lost PC - stunk - Jan 12, 2017

I was recently raided by the police, due to my father's actions (the following September). My father is in jail, however, they also took MY computer and laptop. When will I get my shit back? It's pissing me off, because I've called them about this multiple times. However, I usually get, "you'll have to wait until Monday," or, "you'll need to contact so-and-so." However, I always do, and I never get an answer on when I will get my shit, or if I will even.

You'll have to wait until Monday.

Lmaooooo

You guys are fucking dicks 🤣🤣

Was the raid due to your father's activities? Did those activities involve the computer? Was your father found guilty of a crime? If so, is he appealing? I ask because if there's an appeal they may retain the computer as evidence (though usually they wouldn't need to keep it, but who knows, depending on the circumstances)

You should definitely get in contact with a lawyer instead of posting an HF thread.

Not being a dick, just letting you know it might help to do something legally about it.

I don't think any legalities should be brought to attention, until it's been an extended period of time.

I posted this to try and get someone who has been through this before, and to know when (or if) I will get my stuff back.

You'll get it back when they're done with it, unless their is evidence on there proving that you are guilty, if that's the case good luck getting it back.

Also, this guy has a very good point. Definitely any time the police are involved, it doesn't hurt to ask a lawyer for assistance.

I think you should call so and so they will know

Yes, they were. The activities involved the internet (and "any electronics"). He was found guilty, and he is not appealing the case.

That's all I want as of now.

However, you best believe, I'll be happy as fuck to get a lawyer and fuck their sorry asses over. Because they also never told me that my father wasn't coming back.

I was literally never allowed to tell my father bye.

I was in his house when the raid took place.

When will they be done? And how will I know they're finished? Whenever he goes to grand jury?
