[FPS] WoW Unplayable! - stunk - Jan 12, 2017 So, my laptop is horrid. I have all settings on lowest (in video settings), but I still lag. I lag mainly in major cities (sometimes literally unbearable). Is there any way to go any lower without absolutely destroying the quality? (I'm talking about you, resolution slider) I had a desktop, but it was seized -.- (more info here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5521251) Please help me, I have Razer Cortex running and everything, but it still lags pretty bad. * - Zanzibar - Jan 12, 2017 I have the same problem man, I haven't found a clue as to why. Makes me crazy. * - Stashy - Jan 12, 2017 wow is not fps (first person shooter) ... no idea why in the title * - Lufasu - Jan 12, 2017 If the cities are with people sometimes , so it will be lag and will have an FPS drops. I'm currently playing tera and i have GTX1070 , there is a lot of people on the cities and the FPS drops are heavy. There is nothing to do just try to put the lowest settings. * - Cronics - Jan 12, 2017 (Jan 12, 2017 04:15 AM)Hubba Bubba Gum Wrote: wow is not fps (first person shooter) ... no idea why in the title FPS has two meanings. FPS = First Person Shooter FPS = Frames Per Second * - stunk - Jan 12, 2017 (Jan 12, 2017 11:30 AM)Cronics Wrote: FPS has two meanings. I honestly think he's trolling. I appreciate the help, guys! I'd really like to find something to boost my fps. In Vanilla WoW private servers it's perfectly fine (which, the obvious reason for the lag is the amount of expansions, and the increase of visuals throughout the years). So I'd like to make the graphics similar to Vanilla, if possible (decrease visual impact of animations, models, etc.). I'm about to try to disable the newer character models, and see if that helps. * - Spazzem - Jan 13, 2017 there's an option to run the old character modelsI don't know if that would boost you this much but its worth a try also perhaps hiding Friendly player/pets names etc, make sure that its directx 11 not 9 That's running. also cache might cause some fps drops if its slightly broken so deleting that might help as well also make sure to always exit battle.net if you have a low spec computer and its running in the background it may cause fps drops same goes for Chrome. * - Allelujah - Jan 13, 2017 (Jan 13, 2017 08:09 AM)Spazzem Wrote: there's an option to run the old character modelsI don't know if that would boost you this much but its worth a try also perhaps hiding Friendly player/pets names etc, make sure that its directx 11 not 9 That's running. also cache might cause some fps drops if its slightly broken so deleting that might help as well also make sure to always exit battle.net if you have a low spec computer and its running in the background it may cause fps drops same goes for Chrome. You haven't played in a while have you? That's no longer an option becaus3 of legion's new animations. * - stunk - Jan 13, 2017 (Jan 13, 2017 08:09 AM)Spazzem Wrote: there's an option to run the old character modelsI don't know if that would boost you this much but its worth a try also perhaps hiding Friendly player/pets names etc, make sure that its directx 11 not 9 That's running. also cache might cause some fps drops if its slightly broken so deleting that might help as well also make sure to always exit battle.net if you have a low spec computer and its running in the background it may cause fps drops same goes for Chrome. Thanks for the tips, bro! I'll be disabling new character models. (Jan 13, 2017 11:57 AM)Allelujah Wrote: You haven't played in a while have you? I can also run old character models. * - Lufasu - Jan 13, 2017 (Jan 12, 2017 05:32 PM)Wavie Wrote: I honestly think he's trolling. I think its normal when you have fps drops in cities tbh. As i told you , i have tons of fps drops in tera wheni'm on the city or when i'm flying to other city. Its normal i guess , i tried to change resolution and reduce the graphic settings and its not helped at all. * - stunk - Jan 13, 2017 (Jan 13, 2017 10:30 PM)Brusk Wrote: I think its normal when you have fps drops in cities tbh. Well, see, I know it's normal. However, it shouldn't become unplayable. That's my problem. In Dalaran I literally can't do anything. Literally. * - Allelujah - Jan 14, 2017 (Jan 13, 2017 10:47 PM)Wavie Wrote: Well, see, I know it's normal. However, it shouldn't become unplayable. That's my problem. Windowed or full screen? * - stunk - Jan 14, 2017 (Jan 14, 2017 09:40 AM)Allelujah Wrote: What are your computer's spec. Also regarding the old character models.. I don't have the option. That's weird. Yeah, man, I still have the option. I'm playing full-screen. I changed from DirectX 11 to 9, however, I still lag. It helped tremendously, however, like I said, I still lag. * - nenwel - Jan 15, 2017 I have problem with FPS as well. Before new patch I had 60 fps and maybe 40-30 at towns. But after releasing new patch my fps drop to 30 and less. like wtf. Can't even go raid now cuz fps drops to 6-8 * - stunk - Jan 16, 2017 (Jan 15, 2017 11:25 PM)nenwel Wrote: I have problem with FPS as well. EXACTLY! Legion really fucked my FPS up. Don't get me wrong, Legion is the best since Wrath for me, but I can't enjoy it as much, due to my FPS shitting on me. |
