Welcome to the Member of the Month Nomination thread for January 2017!

The Member of the Month award is given to one special member each month, based on their contributions throughout the community and winning the majority vote in the poll. Every member has the potential to win the award, but the decision is made by the combined efforts of members and staff. To learn more about how the competition works, click here!

The Nomination phase begins today and ends on Monday, January 30th, 2017!

This is your chance to determine who gets placed on the poll. You may only nominate one person per month, so make your nomination count! To nominate a member, all you have to do is follow the guidelines in this thread and post your nomination as a response. No other posts (feedback, comments, etc) are allowed; they will be removed and the poster may be warned.

Any member that fits the following requirements is eligible to be nominated:
  • Minimum of 500 posts
  • 0% warning status
  • Has not already been nominated in this thread
  • Has not received the MOTM award previously
  • Was not in the previous month's poll
  • Non-staff member (you can still nominate mentors and ex-staff)
  • Has contributed in some public way during the month of January (group forums do not count)
A nomination post must contain the linked username of the member being nominated, followed by a minimum of three of their contributions that occurred within the month, and a reason why they deserve the award.

NOTE: Contribution links don't have to necessarily be threads, but can also be links to specific posts.

Members are allowed to ask others to nominate them (user X can ask user Y to nominate user X for a given month).

All rules apply during this phase (e.g. securing/asking for votes during this phase will get you banned from the contest if brought to the light at any time, even if you're already on the poll).

Contributions: Reason: I think Views should be Member Of The Month January 2017 for his extreme dedication to Hack Forums since the contest was last held. He couldn't compete in Eclipse's member of the year contest but I thought he was most deserving. Views has done a lot for Hack Forums in his time as a member. Views runs two groups and he treats his members like family. I'd say that he's brought more than just a decent amount to the forum.

Contributions: Reason: The reasons listed may seem small compared to what other's have done, but Nevieth has helped me through some of the toughest moments of my life in January, knowing that he's done the same for other's just shows how caring he truly is; Infamy has noticed this, thus chooing him as the leader of Dawn Innuendo.

Contributions: Reason: Hash G. is one of the highest quality members I know who hasn't already won MOTM. He has contributed so much to these forums with his userscripts, helpdesks, helpful posts, HQ and helpful attitude, groups, work for the news team, and more. He definitely deserves to win 🤝
He is currently on vacation ban but he will be back by the 27-01-2017 which is before nominations end so I think that is alright?

    He made a massive gallery with Hack Forums related avatars, signatures and wallapapers for anyone to use.
  • Cartoony Avatars
    This is a free graphics service he held where anyone could request to have an avatar made. He ended up making 50+ avatars to the community.
  • Graphic of the Month
    Novica is a host and judge of Graphic of the Month where his contributions are massive.
  • Hack Forums News
    The graphic designer behind Hack Forums News is Novica, where he makes all banners and everything needed, free of charge.
  • Award Contest
    He held a contest on his own cost for the sake of GOTM.

Reason:
I do not believe there are many who are as dedicated to Hack Forums as Novica is. He does so much for everyone, Omniscient, Hack Forums News, Graphic of the Month, and more. He is a contributer and not a neglecter. He gives and does not take, that is what I like so much about him. So much has he done for Hack Forums that many people are not aware of, of course he does not ask for anything in return but I want to take contests like this, Member of the Month, to give back to him.
