Think into Royalty #5 | Help Thread - Caffrey - Jan 20, 2017 Think Into Royalty
The newest TIR recruitment is out and it seems to be the hardest one yet. We can all use each others help, whether you think you're good at this type of stuff or not, any thoughts could lead to more clues or answers. At the moment it seems we have found things but just don't know how to connect them.
================= In this thread, we can post findings of anything that may be helpful to solving this, I doubt anyone will get this by working alone, so we may as well work as a group until we get nearer to the end. ================= What we have found so far. So far, we have found multiple files such as the txt file that was the Base64 encoded download link to get TIR5 which led to two images. People seem to think it's a red herring because one of the pictures is named "red" and it just generally doesn't seem to have much purpose. I am not sure what to think, usually in TIR, everything has a meaning but this is one of the biggest TIR's so far so noticing a red herring could be one of the challenges. ================= From steganography, using no password, I found another link to a download of the .rar file called "TIR". So we have a TIR and a TIR5, seems like there may be a 2-3-4 that we also need to find maybe? In the .rar file is a picture called "invisible man" and a text file called "number", however it is password protected. As well as the download link, it showed a phrase, "Those who wander are not lost" which I have heard from others is a Lord of the Rings quote? Or it is similar to one. It also brought up a number, "83748". We don't know what the number or phrase really means. ================= From the main picture (I refer to main picture as the main picture that was on the thread), when you turn up the saturation, a number becomes visible on the bottom, the number is, "477487#". Due to it having a hash tag at the end, we thought it could be a hex code in reverse or something like that? Not really sure what we can do with it though, I believe we have tried to overlay the colour of that code onto the picture, tried taking that colour out of the whole image, I tried the word of that colour as some of the .rar passwords, we got nothing. ================= The "encrypted" text on the main picture, we spent a while trying to crack it, but then someone came along and did it. If you turn down the levels on the picture, some of the letters fade away and others don't, reading the faded letters says, "Royalty - Enigma Project". So does that mean we encrypt all the text with enigma, all the remaining text excluding the faded letters? Do we encrypt "Royalty" with enigma. The problem I see is that Enigma has so many different possibilities on outcomes. ================= Not sure about the morsecode.rar because we don't have the password for it yet I don't think. We found one of the other .rar's by saving the graphical wolf type thing at the top of the original thread and the download link was the default file name. ================= We really need to figure out what connection the video at the bottom has, and what the connection is with owls. Cuda has said that the answers we need are right in front of us, we need to "check EVERYTHING" on the thread. So any thoughts from anyone could help a lot. ================= Whether I win this or not, I have definitely learnt a lot from just attempting this, so I am happy either way, but it would be really nice to win this, but right now we need to work together to get further into the "puzzle". * - Papa Cuda - Jan 20, 2017 I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message. * - muzzy. - Jan 21, 2017 idc about that dumb buyin group but that number with the # is enough digits for a thread or uid * - SIM-2015410 - Jan 21, 2017 (Jan 21, 2017 12:35 AM)muzzy. Don't want to give away too much here though |
