2FA Options/Alternatives to a mobile device - Disparity - Jan 29, 2017

Are there any other options than using a mobile device for 2FA? Any desktop applications or anything? I want to have it enabled, but as of now cannot use my phone for it for various reasons.

You can install the Authy Chrome web app and set it up there.

You could also use one of those fancy U2F usb keys. I just ordered one for myself the other day. Once set-up, you just plug that bad boy in and press the button to authenticate. No codes.

So they do work on here? Does it work well? Any complications or anything?

Ah, I thought you were talking about them in general. I haven't tried using one with HF- I don't think they have support for it. But I'd be happy if someone proved me wrong.

Well there is a way but you need a mobile device only for the first time while registering and rest of time there is no need at all. Ohh well the product is Appspicket , check it out. Concept behind this technology is to provide 2fa in one step thereby removing all hurdles we all face in other type of 2fa typing passcodes etc.
