Keylogger + PDF (Question) - BlackHat04422 - Feb 5, 2017
Anyone can help me out with binding keylogger with PDF? What do i need for it to works? If there are tutorial for it,that would be helpful.
And, which keylogger(FREE) is better ? And a good free binder :)

1. Download any penetration testing linux distro (you can use Windows but this is simpler, I reccomend kali)
2. Make sure you have metasploit, if not, download it. Simply start metasploit by enter "msfconsole" in the terminal.
3. In metasploit, write: use exploit/windows/fileformat/adobe_pdf_embedded_exe
4. You are now using something called an "exploit". You can write show options to see what you can/have to edit to make the exploit work, or show info to read about the exploit (you can also see the options here).
5. But just to make it simpler, the thing you need to edit is the "exename", so write "set exename /LOCATION/OF/FILE" for example, if you have a map in /etc/ for your viruses, you could write: set exename /etc/viruses/keylogger.exe.
6. now write run and your new pdf will be placed in the metasploit folder.
ONLY DO THIS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES.
This was just something simple that works on adobe reader 8.x.x and 9.x.x. Play around to find the one you need.

Another tip is to strip metadata on your .pdf or .jpeg file before you bind it. Use a Pro PDF App to do that. Search google for free apps if you cannot afford to buy. You can create a stub via Metasploit or TheFatRat. But those are not really keylogger Apps. They are Frameworks. You can then CMD to the target and add other features like keystroke and screen capture commands after you have established a connection to you target test. You also need to do your ports and stuff. Another topic for another day. This is all available on the internet if you not lazy to read and research. Please use this on a approved test lab environment and not to attack illegally. IF you want free stuff, you going to be going around for a while being frustrated but for learning it is better to start using free stuff first.
