I was just looking through things and went to this rule

I was wondering people sell Shopfiy methods where you get the customers details and then you go to another site and order it for them from that seller.
Is this drop shipping?
Is selling this kind of method supposed to be allowed, or is the rule stating we don't discuss it publicly, but you're able to have methods that talk about it?

Well I'm 90% sure that "and services" will fall into Shopify as it's a service.

In a way, yes it would be classified as something that is not allowed. Though, I'm sure there's a neutral zone where this would still be allowed.

You don't need to Dropship to use Shopify, but people around that scene around here know that it's the main way to go. At least I think it's called drop shipping from the kinds of definitions I've read.

Yes, a lot of people using Shopify for dropshipping, so I'm not too sure - but not everyone uses it with dropshipping. I know a ton of people who do POD and PLP on their Shopify stores.
We'll have to wait for Omniscient's take on this.

I agree with this. Thats not something any of us can say yes or no too. Omni will have to be the one to define this one considering the rather large marketplace for shopify.

I know it can be done legitimately, but I know this one guide I got months ago said to make the orders through x website so you dont hold stock

It's dropshipping and it's disallowed. When we disallowed an item, we don't allow products that revolve around the idea on top of any discussion.

I only ask about this as the method I purchased is from a guy who purchased multiple stickies and has had many sales when he did it. I don't believe he's still selling it, or he may be selling the same method but under a new name. At that point I thought it was okay to talk about it inside of a method that you purchased and not publicly talk about methods/tutorials here

I have seen couple people sell Shopify mentoring/eBooks which did include dropshipping but I didn't think of the rule back then.
