Quick question for those of u with ur own apt. - Narzi - Feb 11, 2017

If i'm under a renting lease for my apt can I mount speakers and shit on the wall? This is a question for those of u who have a crib. Not the kids still livin with mama.

Depends on your lease. You'd want to check with your landlord beforehand because I cannot drill into the walls in my apartment.

Before calling anyone "kids livin with mama" maybe you should ask your landlord and not hackforums, you stupid cunt.

Well, what does your lease say? Does it contain any provisions which prohibit or condition the action?

Asking should help, we're not your landlord :)

You really should ask the landlord or check the terms. If you go ahead and do it you will have to make it good when leaving or you will be charged for them to fix the "damage" (screw holes etc).

Exactly. This is something that should be handled on a case by case basis.

Unrelated but your username is hilarious to me.

It depends, my best guess is that most landlords allow you to pretty much do whatever you want, BUT (and this one is pretty big), you have to restore it to exactly as it was when you rented it.
Meaning that if you put some screws into the wall, you could be forced to plaster it and recolour the whole wall/put new wallpaper.

This is the main reason why I didn't put my screen on the wall, as I simply couldn't bother doing all that when moving.

As the guy above said. You can also place some shelfs on the wall and put your speakers there. As long as u dont destroy the entire wall placing them then it should be fairly easy to restore it once you leave the place (not more than 2 hs to leave it as new).

To be honest here in Ontario, Canada. the lease agreement doesnt really mean shit and all OREA takes leasee's side in most matters and leaser cant do shit they dont even bother to do anything
