Fix a PHP script after purchase from PayPal - Malentor - Feb 12, 2017 I have a website that handles PayPal to Bitcoin exchages, the buyer needs to fill a form with his PayPal email, select amount and currency to pay with PayPal and then he is redirected to a paypal button with the previous details.
Here some pictures: ![]() ![]() It contains a mailer function that every purchase that is performed, it needs to send an email to the PayPal buyer with a message including transaction number, his name exactly as PayPal , amount paid + currency , and the contact trade. The mailer function unfortunately does not send the mail , the rest is working just fine. Name a price to get it working with Gmail and also should work with my own SMTP server. * - Specs - Feb 12, 2017 Have you tried using the PHPMailer? Its usually perfect for this kind of thing. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/ * - Malentor - Feb 12, 2017 (Feb 12, 2017 02:21 PM)Specs Wrote: Have you tried using the PHPMailer? I'm using the same phpMailer but for some reason it wont send the email. * - Specs - Feb 12, 2017 Did you implement it yourself or get the source online? * - Malentor - Feb 14, 2017 I'm still needing this code fixed so I can start selling using my website instead invoicing. * - Lucifer's Inferno - Feb 14, 2017 Try sending it to a yopmail account and check out the results. * - Malentor - Feb 14, 2017 (Feb 14, 2017 01:26 PM)Lucifers Inferno Wrote: Try sending it to a yopmail account and check out the results. I've tried with several servers (outlook, gmail , my own smtp server) there is something wrong with the code that it does not send it. * - ToXiiC - Feb 14, 2017 Do you have this on regular hosting or did you buy a VPS or dedi and set it up as your own little hosting server? If you bought a VPS or dedi you need to make sure PHP mailing capabilities are enabled I had this issue in the past a long time ago with a website I used to run. Click this link if you manage your own hosting on dedi or VPS: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=enable+centos+to+send+mail+php If you are using regular shared hosting and you are sure your PHP script is fine (sending an email really isn't hard, not easy to get that wrong), then send a ticket to your hosting about this. 🤝 |
