Cooking Timer with LARGE scrolling display - ɩᴄᴀʀᴜȿ ᴌוᴠᴇѕ™ - Feb 17, 2017 Hello all! I decided it would be neat to code a cooking timer one day when I realized I didn't have one :P I used LARGE scrolling text from a challenge Annikk.exe have given me, and utilizing :Calc_FPS from einstein1969 Also, using this line of code, I was able to capture the BEL ascii character, and produce a sound every time it displays your message :3 You can find more of these special characters HERE Code for /f %%i in ('forfiles /m "%~nx0" /c "cmd /c echo 0x07"') do set "BEL=%%i"![]() Spoiler (Click to View) * - JoshuTee - Feb 18, 2017 Awesome and underappreciated as always, mate * - SIM-3391627 - Feb 18, 2017 Well known and really really good at this :) * - ɩᴄᴀʀᴜȿ ᴌוᴠᴇѕ™ - Feb 18, 2017 Have been trying to show people that batch is capable of other things than just the obvious :P I want people to think outside the box and code neat things in batch just because they can. I mean shit, do I think anyone would use this timer? Realistically, no I don't think anyone will use it. But that's not he point, the point is that it's different. It's not something batch was designed do to. I like stuff like that. |
