Can't change the color (color code not working) - TheVBScripter - Feb 18, 2017

Will come back for this later, no time to get stuck on this now. Thanks guys for the help anyway :)

Hey you guys, very busy today so I'll keep it short.

I got this:
[Image: 044960d498793dc591bc6718261aacd5.png]
Which is color: #333 (this is it, no 6 numbers like usual)

and I'd like to get this color: #0078ff
http://www.color-hex.com/color/0078ff
But it's not working!
I am in the right Css file (editing the block quotation) yet I don't seem to get it done.
Anybody who can help me with this?

I can't do this, designing this site for a company, so I'm not allowed to show nor share any link or content yet.

All I can say:
Wordpress site:
Code (Style.css)
Code
.hentry blockquote {
        background-color: #333;
        color: #fff;
        font-size: 16px;
        font-style: italic;
        line-height: 23px;
        margin-bottom: 30px;
        padding: 30px 35px;
        position: relative;

The color "#333" got changed by me, but it's not working, so I edited to back to the default "#333" code.

Can you help me with that background-color code?

No because I can't tell if it's overwritten somewhere else in the script or maybe by another script.

background-color: #333!important; - Replace with this and let me know !

It's not overwritten or any other script, I only got a few scripts which got nothing to do with those things.
I'm not new to webdesign, so I assume it's the color code "#0078FF" which I need to edit to "#333" or whatever, but again, I'm no expert either.

Either way, I can't give you any access to the site nor domain.

#333 = grey color.
I need (blue-ish) the #0078 color.

Can you put a code text here so I know what to edit it too exactly like this:
Code
this
I'd appreciate it.

Well since you can't show the site this is probably the best response to give you:

Code
background-color: #0078ff !important;

It would possibly help if you could atleast provide your full CSS file code.

Wonder why you guys need the full CSS file code?
Google (the sites who provided help from years ago) all said the same:
- Wordpress
- Appearance
- Editor
- Style.css
- Search for "Block quote"

More I can't do, but I tried your "!important;" code as well but it's not working.
Will Google the solution (if I can find it) or come back later for it, I can't stick too long to 1 issue if it's only a small detail of the whole site.

Thansk anyway you all, I'll close this thread now.
