Finding NULL filled files - Onii - Feb 19, 2017 so i just revisited some of my old software and found out most of it was corrupted a month ago or so i backed up my data from a dying hard disk, it was at about 10% health now i'm left with thousands of files and i don't know which are corrupted and which are not the corrupted files are filled with zeros, i don't mean the number zero but \0 characters, 0x0, null they have the same size they had before corruption, they are not empty any way to find all such files so i can save up some space? thanks * - archangel.dmitry - Feb 19, 2017 You should be able to do it Linux by enumerating the files and and checking for presence of certain strings. |
