We at Baka are trying something new here - we want to show off some of the artwork from the community on our Baka News segment that comes out on Sunday. In order to decide what artwork goes in the news, we are deciding to run this little competition for you guys to enter your work in! We are excited to see the creativity of the AA sector here!

Here is a little rundown:
This contest is here to encourage artistically inclined users to share their work and also encourage art enthusiasts to share with us the work of others that they have found on the internet

The best submissions (user created work taking precedent over the work of others) will be published on Baka Weekly that Sunday :) This is just a little test, but we are excited to bring the community together and give credit to those people who put all their hard work into being a Weeb.

FAQ (as selected from the Baka sub when this idea was pitched):
Q: Does it matter if I send in something I already drew?
A: Personal submissions do not have to be drawn recently - I know that art takes a lot of time to create and you wan to show off some old works, so that's totally fine!

Q: And are original characters OK if it's an anime style, or do you wish for it to be characters?
A: Just as long as you go with an anime style, the characters do not matter - you can make your own of course :)

Q: Can we submit erotic artworks or semi erotic works?
A: Posts are up to the user - if the user gets in trouble with Omni for posting too erotic images, then Baka claims no responsibility. I mean the art can be suggestive, as a lot of anime art is - just keep the nudity to a minimum with no genitalia showing (soz gais). Images that break HF rules and the rules in place about posting lewd images in AA will not be considered for publication in the news.

Q: Does it have to be from an anime or weeb series or can it be from a video game with references to weeb culture?
A: It can be anything in relation to weeb culture :) Video games, even if they aren't Japanese are fine, as long as something in the art has been inspired by anime, manga or Japanese culture!
