It's a good way cause you will know what while loops, iterators, data structures etc does. Then just learn the syntax

Go to your library, pick up a book.

When someone says "Hello internet" at the start of the video I die a little on the inside.
No really, a book is better. It goes more in depth and it is better. There is something about reading a book over a video that works better. I dont know how to explain it. But I feel reading requires more concentration and attention and thus yields better results.

This is the most ridicilous post I've seen this week. Gratz on that award.
Now some real advice, buy a decent book. Don't expect yourself to learn to code in a few days or weeks. Take your time, read a chapter every X days and make every single assignment in the book. Struggle with some assignments and give yourself feedback. Ask yourself, why do I do this? Why does that happen and so on.

I'm using these at the minute and finding them quite useful (I am following their VB.NET guide, can't vouch for the others).
