Slightly out of comfort zone but is there a program that is more rated than others to reset or bypass forgotten passwords on windows.

I would say ophcrack is one of the best of not thee best

http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

ntpasswd also works good for resetting or changing the passwords

I am not looking for remote options. However I do get this issue. When burning any ISO to my USB it seems to have worked correctly. However then when I start the laptop enter boot options and select the USB. It states there is no operating system detected on the current device. Please remove devices with no operating system. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Many thanks in advance,
Liam

Hmm yea what software are you using to mount the iso to the USB ?

Make sure the software allows you to install bootable iso, As this should include or allow it to boot.

It could possibly be your boot system options too try setting secure boot to disabled

If you are burning linux based solution than use unetbootin to make the bootable usb.

Also you can use any live usb system to unlock your windows.,. just boot up with usb and then mount c drive .. go to windows/system32 and find file Utilman.exe and rename it.
find cmd.exe file and make a copy of it .. then rename the copy to Utilman.exe ... reboot .. Once windows prompts you for password .. hit the accessibility button in the bottom left corner .. cmd will open up and then you can use netuser command to mess around with the user profiles .. change password or remove/add users.
