Bitcoinage Award Change - Omniscient - Mar 1, 2017
The Bitcoinage award
![[Image: bitcoin.png]](https://hackforums.net/uploads/awards/bitcoin.png)
cost 1 BTC originally. At the time BTC was about $100 then continued to rise. I've left it at 1 BTC this whole time but now that BTC is well over $1k it seems rather overpriced and I actually think it hurts award sales. I've now altered the award to be like the other crypto awards with a set donation price of $250.
So for those who wanted this award and it was too expensive. Now is your chance.
Thank you.

I always thought it was never going to change, but this is definitely something that needed to happen. Thanks Omni, hard working dude.

Pretty good change, makes sense. I feel like GA would be more desirable at the same price but at $250, now maybe not.

I aws actually looking at the prices of the different awards and wondered why the BTC one was prices like that when the price is so high.. So makes good sense to change it :D

I think that's a fair price for the BTC award.
Thank you for the change 🤝
