Websites encryptions - misterbag - Mar 2, 2017 Best all, Are all passwords in a leaked database encrypted? And if so, how secure is it? What determines if it's easy decryptable? Im not sure if this is supposed to be in the "beginner hacker" thread but I hope you could give me some answers on this question. Thanks in advance! * - Ascore - Mar 5, 2017 Yes, you can crack everything. No System is safe. But it is very very hard to hack a database. * - Sheeple - Mar 5, 2017 (Mar 2, 2017 03:33 PM)misterbag Wrote: Best all, Not all passwords are encrypted, but more likely hashed, but even sometimes just stored in plaintext. However, if they are hashed, you can crack them with Hashcat, but for something like Adobe's DB breach, they have encrypted PW's that can't really be cracked / decrypted by anyone here without the key. The only other person that I've seen . "decrypt" adobe hashes, is chick3nman. But with good hardware you could boot up hashcat and attack some hashes, cuz thats what'll be in a db 95% of the time |
