Remove iCloud from an activated device (iOS 10.X) (Filza) - Λlex - Mar 4, 2017

This will pretty much show you how to remove an iCloud account from a JAILBROKEN activated device.

It's useful if you forgot your password and you want to restore your device.

Please do note that this WILL NOT remove the iCloud lock from the servers.

Step 1: Getting Filza File Manager
  • Open Cydia
  • Download Filza File Manager

Step 2: Removing the account
  • Open Filza File Manager
  • Now that you're in root
  • Go to "var"
  • Then "mobile"
  • Then "library"
  • And "accounts"

Delete everything in "accounts"

Now your iPhone should be free from that account.

Thank you this way SO helpful
I have a friend she was given a 6S by some douchebag. Instead of removing his icloud he just gave her his passcode and she was frustrated she couldn't do what she wanted with the phone. She asked me if I could do anything, so I checked and it was still on 10.0.1 !!

So I look like the hero/whiz and she has a brand new iPhone!

Really, thank you

Would this work if you were to swap the icloud server with one of your own...?

I must add too something that is probably clear to everyone here, but which escaped my friend's understanding.
DO NOT reset device (Erase All Content and Settings). Not only will you love root (of course) but since erases the files did not destroy the files on apple's servers, once the device rebooted it asked for the original owner's icloud information.
