Remove the "requests for hacking" section - Trappy - Mar 10, 2017

Seems like whenever I see the requests for hacking section it's new members begging someone to hack a facebook account or something.

Don't see a lot of quality posts in that section.

Idk, it creates content and new members might join just because of that section and then decides to stay. I am all in for that. Just my two cents.

Agreed. That section breeds the interest of a lot of new members.

It is full of users who seemed to have just joined the site to make a request and won't bother with the site again. A lot of these people don't know that you're not supposed to request a paid service there (not in marketplace), so a lot of times it's a hotbed of rule-breaking.

Idk though, it's not like they're trolling or something, they're just new users looking for help.

If you're really worried about it maybe you should suggest adding a prestige requirement instead of an outright removal.

Either way I think those posts will pop up somewhere else though. Having that section kind of keeps them contained there. And shouldn't "Hack Forums" have a "Requests for Hacking" section?

I'm indifferent on this, I can see it both ways.

Exactly. I think that section is great for new members. It should stay in my opinion.

The section is more or less a place to keep all of the low quality threads in one place.
If you remove it they will just post their requests elsewhere.

It would be like removing a trashcan from your house because all it does is collect trash. You've
solved one issue and made an even bigger one.

As others have said, it attracts a lot of new members. I mean, the forum is called HackForums after all.

Not necessary.
The section is pretty active, and maintains those types of threads from spilling into other higher quality sections.

If you think a post/thread in the section either breaks the rules, or is excessively low quality, use the report feature.

Exactly this, if this section gets removed all those threads will start scattering around.

We know the section isn't of highest quality, that's the point of it. If RFH didn't exist, all your other subforums will be filled with those posts. So helps to curb down lot of requests in random subforums..

Yup.
