Does Guilty Crown take from Code Geass? - Livewire - Mar 12, 2017
If I'm not mistaken, I noticed a bunch of similarities between the two animes.
Aside from the fact that they both reference the "power of the king," one scene in particular felt like it was copied.
When Lelouche tried to kiss Kallen and gets rejected/slapped is set in the exact same setting as when Shu tries to advance on Hare because he is depressed.
Even the backgrounds of the two are similar.
The whole premise they both rely on is the same.

I mean the possibility is there, when you watch one the other is usually recommend afterward. Code Geass is a good niche for anime though if you change some things around.

I prefer Code Geass any day, but since I'm lazy and haven't done my research, I'd bet that it's the same writer or someone in production.
Also, CG is GC backwards.
