Visual Studio on MacOs - waflya.wafly - Mar 13, 2017 Hi there guys😎 From not far time ago i've seen that Visual Studio for macos was released. My question about this is : If i gonna to use this ide on my mac ,the apps for it will be compiled natively ,or i must to install the runtimes on other mac's to run my apps made in C# and VisualStudio ? Thanks . * - ShadowCloudGH - Mar 13, 2017 (Mar 13, 2017 07:21 PM)waflya.wafly Wrote: Hi there guys😎 If you target Core the runtimes will be included in the build output, so you won't need to install it. You can take a look at an example here https://wannabeegeek.com/2016/06/21/running-your-first-net-core-app-in-mac/ And there's some info on the runtime here: http://druss.co/2016/08/deploy-and-run-net-core-application-without-installed-runtime-self-contained-applications/ I was actually lucky enough to see Scott Hanselman do this on both mac and nix machines during a conference in Feb. |
