Defend your wordpress websites - walidius - Mar 20, 2017

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone of you guys have experience with sucuri DOT net regarding the security of your wordpress websites?

Our websites keep getting targeted by politician motivated hackers lol.

- Our theme's we use are bought on themeforest
- we only use legit plugins, no quick fix plugins. (usually used by thousands of people)

Their service sounds right but its expensive so i was wndering if it was worthed.

Thansk for the advice!🎉

I worked for a web dev company who went through Sucuri and from what I saw, it was really good. One time they caused an error in the site, but this is over a long period of time and they were safeguarding many clients websites.

Have you tried any other prevention techniques?

I have heard of this before but never personally used it, I'm actually looking for similar security stuff,

Just get the plugin Wordfence, will keep most hackers out and ensure you always update to latest version and use strong admin passwords.

I use All In One WP Security & Firewall by Tips and Tricks HQ, Peter, Ruhul, Ivy.

I must say if you set it up as they tell you to the attacks will decrease and your site is very well protected against defacers.
Yesterday one of the Sucri team members told me to mask the fact that i use wordpress because that is how they locate you through search engine's.

We'll see how it goes :D

I have seen people use wordfence, do you consider it to be better then All in one WP security & firewall?
