Hello everyone,
I am new to this whole ettercap thing, I want to use Ettercap and SET to redirect people on my IP address from cnn to my fake cnn site with the same content but with a few articles and titles changed. I am having a fee questions about this now
1. When I use ettercap to scan on wifi it shows all my host but it doesn't show my own device which is needed to perform the MITM attack how can I fix that?
2. How do I create the fake site and get it to redirect?
3. How do I edit the contents of the fake site?

Use ettercap for DNS spoofing and have it redirect to your own host. (You can easily google a guide on this)
For SET, cloning the page will output HTML that you can edit and then serve, which is where you'll redirect to using ettercap.

Alright thank you, also do you know how I can fix the issue where ettercap searches for all the Host except for my device which doesn't show up? Also would you kindly explain in a little more detail on cloning the page and than redirecting it? Really appreciate the help man

Thanks for the answer man do u know why my ettercap doesn't show my own device? My Kali was installed thru a USB drive on a Mac if that helps

What do you mean, your network adapter? What is the name of it?
Try doing lsusb in terminal and see if you recognize an adapter.

I mean I connect Kali thru wifi but when I use ettercap to scan for host to poison, I see all other devices except for my own and I really need help with that?
Does anyone know why I have this problem like ettercap can't scan my own device which is needed for the MITM attack
right now my only problem is ettercap scans all my host and targets except for the machine i am on, does anyone know how i can fix this

Hello I got most of the stuff to work but I just don't know after cloning the site with SET I was able to edit the article title of USA Today in the HTML but can't seem to edit the contents, why is that I need help?
