Recruitment Thread
Skill is a group dedicated to gaming, be it casually or competitive, on a Sega Dreamcast or high end PC. We simply love to game. Our subforum consists of everything gaming, from discussions to group gaming nights and more. The group will have game-nights, tournaments, streams and more. We look forward to seeing a lot of true gamers join us on this journey.

Throwback Favorite Games: My favorite throwback game is definitely Counter Strike 1.6! I loved that game and played it every single day of my childhood.
What can you bring to Skill? A great teamplayer, and an active gamer.
Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play? I have been messing around with it for a bit, so I know how to do it, but I do not do it actively. I used to play competitively in CS games, but haven't had the time in the last couple of years due to work and my studies.

Tell us a little about yourself: Well, I'm 19 years old, been playing games since I was really young. Started out on an IBM laptop playing games like Wizard101, shit like that was my childhood. We had the old green xbox as well, played racing games on that, even had the wheel and the pedals. Eventually as time moved on I got better computers. Got a MacBook Air a couple Christmases ago and used that for games like WoW, League of Legends, CSGO. Was hard to run but it sufficed for the time being. I finally got a new beast PC a year ago, able to play all my games now at really high frames. I enjoy both PC and Console and play games like Halo 5, Halo MCC, and the entire Gears of War series on the Xbox. I have a huge passion for gaming and plan on getting partnered on Twitch eventually. I stream quite often to a low audience but plan on making it bigger as time goes by.
Current Favorite Games:
Xbox: Halo 5, Halo 3, MCC, Entire Gears of War Series.
PC: H1Z1(Plat), Overwatch(Masters) League of Legends(Highest D2 in Season 3). World of Warcraft(Every class 110 860ILVL+ except Shaman. CS:GO, Wizard101, Fallout series, Mass Effect, Rocket League.
PS3: GTA V, Need for Speed.
Throwback Favorite Games: Definitly Wizard101, still have a 09 account till this day. Met a lot of people on it, made some friends when I was a kid, was a really fun game and I loved it. Helped me cope with other shit going on. Also gotta shoutout Halo 3. Was a 4 Star General, 50 in Lone Wolves, 50 in Team Doubles and Snipers, really miss the game and still am really sad it's dying. Was the best halo that ever and will exist.
What can you bring to Skill? Definitely can bring a fun character/personality, an active gamer, very social, love to play with others and share what I know with them. Don't care for other peoples ranks, I'm always glad to play and have fun on any system!
Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play? I used to have a 2.5k+ follower Twitch stream, had around 30-70 viewers depending on the game I was playing. I loved streaming but quit because my computer could barely handle it, now since I'm upgraded I'm streaming once again! As far as video editing goes, I don't have much experience in that field, except very basic work. For competitive play, in League of Legends I was on a tournament team called Vici. We would party as 5 in tournaments for RP and usually come out first or second. All of us were in Diamond except the jungle who was masters. In World of Warcraft, I'm very good at PvP. My highest rating was 2.3k in 2's on my WW Monk & Frost Mage. I raid competitively as well, currently getting into Mythic Nighthold and preparing for Tomb of Sargeras. In CSGO my highest rank was LEM. I quit because all my friends stoped playing and we just played for fun. In Overwatch I'm ranked Masters with my highest peaking 3.6k.

Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play? I have been on some competitive teams in League of Legends, but never really got far. Same with CSGO, I used to dominate FaceIT with my friends but the team broke apart after a few months. I streamed League a few times for friends, but obviously never had a high viewer count.

Tell us a little about yourself: I'm 16 years old and spend just about all of my free-time gaming. I've been into video games since I was around 6 or so when my older brother got COD 4 for Christmas. I was obviously shit back then, but by the time WaW came out I was playing more than he was and I was 7 years old lol.
Current Favorite Games: Spending hours a day on Rust and CS:GO as of now. PS4 I'm more casual with COD and sports games.
Throwback Favorite Games: Depends. Throwback as in 5-10 years ago, obviously the old CODs! MW2 was insanely great fun for myself. Otherwise, my neighbor had a nintendo 64 and I'd go over everyday back then and place some Pokemon shit. Don't even know what it was, just remember tons of minigames LOL.
What can you bring to Skill? I'd love to meet new people to play with and make some cool friends. I'd plan on hosting some tournaments. I have experience in running servers for a few games, and believe I could do that for Skill as well! Would be fun to have our own private little gameservers (Rust, Minecraft, even CS:GO etc).
Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play? I know my way around Sony Vegas and have attempted to stream in the past. I actually planned on trying something out tomorrow (Rust servers wipe tomorrow aka fresh start) with recording and possibly starting something with YouTube as an extra hobby!

What can you bring to Skill? Activeness in the subforum, organizing events, friendly banter. One thing I would like to do for the Runescape players in the group is have a weekly competition. The competition would be something along the lines of a "Skill of the Week". The competition would be based around a certain skill and whoever gains the most experience in the allotted time wins a prize decided by the event organizer, most likely RSGP.
Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play? No extensive experience in any of those subjects, but I was Master rank 8 in Black Ops 2 League Play solo at one point, and Master Rank 2 in team play.

Throwback Favorite Games: This one is difficult. I would have to say Mario Kart 64 is by far my favorite throwback game. COD4, MW2, Pokemon (any version), and SSB melee also make the list.

Tell us a little about yourself: Love gaming, man. Probably like most people on here. I've been gaming since Atari days, but didn't get into PC until I was like 12. I started with CS 1.3 and hopped my way along. I went competitive in CS:S, hit CAL-M or CAL-IM at some point then moved to CEVO and ESEA when that kinda died down. I mostly play FPS, but definitely love MOBAs (LoL and Dota2) and MMOs (WoW, Guild Wars, etc). Nowadays I split my time between PS4 and PC. I'm a hugeeeee CoD fan, I only got into it around the end of Bo3, but I Master Prestiged in a few months, completed all the Zombie Easter Eggs, even the super hidden ones. I submitted a few glitches to the Zombies Reddit for Revelations so that was pretty cool. I mostly play CoD:IW now and pretty much stomp every lobby. Been wanting to get into competitive, but need some more good homies to play with. I could keep rambling, but all in all, I'm down to game. Oh, I'm 22, self-employed and have a cute husky named Mika.

What can you bring to Skill? Skill, of course. Lol nah, I'd mostly bring gaming activity if anything. When I say I play all the time, I mean..I play ALL THE TIME. I'd be down to make a group on CoD, CS or whatever the majority plays and run some lobbies. I've participated and hosted my fair share of competitive events so if there were ever any tournaments I could host the lobbies, set up the ladders, looks for cheaters, etc. I have streaming equipment for my PS4 and PC along with the know-how to do all that. I used to stream on twitch once upon a time so I could do that for the group. I mean I know a pretty decent amount when it comes to anything gaming so I'm pretty sure I could help out with whatever.
Any experience streaming/video editing/competitive play?Yes, kinda, Yes. (I kinda explained above without realizing so kinda makes this question redundant, but yeah man.) I'm not a great video editor, but I can cut clips, add cool little premade lighting and camera effects using After Effects and that's pretty much it. I did a cool camera panning with the CSS cameras awhile ago, but I'd have to brush up on it.
Sorry for the no fancy styling, I usually put cool graphics and such, but yeh.
