Jeremy Wade started a thread(he deleted it) to sell his Tom Clancy's Recon Wildlands Gold Edition Steam Gift. I messaged(on 3/17/17) him stating I will but the account via PayPal, and he messaged me the following day saying to send it to his PP using the Friends and Family service, no problem. Jeremy had a lot of rep and is a long term user on this forums so I was sure I could trust him. He messaged me back the next day(on 3/18/17) saying he is heading back home and he will send me the game through a steam gift on that day.

After exchanging steam trade URLs, it took a turn. Jeremy stopped replying to my messages, no response what so ever to this day. I told him if he did not respond by the end of the 21st of March I will open a deal dispute and report to my bank for a chargeback. I noticed that he logged on from his profile and looking at his "Last Visit:" time, so he should have seen all of my recent messages. It's now the 22nd and I gave him an extra 24hrs of time to send a message.

If that's what happened and it was through Paypal, you can get your money back. Paypal doesn't support FF payments anymore as soon as they find out you sent it for business related transactions. Your bank would be your best bet.

I went ahead and filed a dispute with PayPal first, under "unauthorized transaction". Even if he provides that he did use it for business purposes he should be in the wrong because it's against PP ToS right?
