subsection just for Cisco - Resilience - Mar 25, 2017 Do you think we should have a subsection only for Cisco certifications, questions, etc ? * - Mαxim - Mar 25, 2017 A computer science section would be better. But pretty much what Adam said. * - Omniscient - Mar 25, 2017 Where are the existing threads? * - Fluxify - Mar 25, 2017 This is barely any activity in the networking section, so I don't think it's active enough to have a separate subsection. * - Mαxim - Mar 25, 2017 (Mar 25, 2017 10:47 AM)Fluxify Wrote: This is barely any activity in the networking section, so I don't think it's active enough to have a separate subsection. Wouldn't say barely. * - Aqua_fina - Mar 25, 2017 Omni has a good point. For a section/subsection to be created, it has to be demanded. The worst thing you can have in a forum is dead sections, that just makes the forum look very bad. * - Egregious Jr. - Mar 25, 2017 Doesn't have nearly enough activity to warrant a section. * - Mad76e - Mar 25, 2017 The Idea is intresting tho, i mean to have ONE section for various types of certificates, qrestions and such, but sadly 99% of those who use this forum would not have the actual cash to pay for one to start with. I dont know any CCNA or CCDP certificates below $250! same goes for CompTIA, my last one went over $310 And dont forget about Microsofts MCSA, MCSE, MCSD.. You need a very fat wallet here as well.. However an MCP might be a easyer way CEH are also expensive as hell likewise OSCP or simular (sorry skids, Nothing is free) Perhaps MCT... Anyhow.. Thats my 5 cents EDIT: However https://www.cybrary.it/ does offer free training for those who are intrested to learn without buying any expensive certifications. (however the quality on the courses might vary) They do offer a kind of "certificate" for their courses" for a very very low price, but how that holds up in the real world I dont know * - Vitani - Mar 27, 2017 I would love a section dedicated to Cisco but there is just not enough activity at this time to warrant a subforum dedicated to it. Let's first get the networking section active again, before we start thinking about subforums in this section. My networking guide is on it's way for those interested. |
