Kill a system process in Win10 [Unsolved] - matty45 - Mar 27, 2017 Hello, i made a program that is supposed to kill system processes but for some reason, this happens: ![]() If anyone knows a way to fix this, please tell me I have made it require highest available perms using the application manifest. * - Skeetz - Mar 27, 2017 may require admin perms to kill the task. * - Zilog80 - Mar 27, 2017 "Access is denied" ---> What do you think is happening here? Side-note: hmmm..."PCDestroyer"...Was not there a worse name? 🤣 * - matty45 - Mar 28, 2017 (Mar 27, 2017 01:52 PM)Zilog80 Wrote: "Access is denied" ---> What do you think is happening here? Its a fun tool i am making to destroy a pc/vm in various ways. * - Imperishable - Mar 28, 2017 What about uiAccess? are you setting the flag to true in manifest? * - matty45 - Mar 28, 2017 (Mar 28, 2017 09:20 AM)Imperishable Wrote: What about uiAccess? are you setting the flag to true in manifest? * - He B TeMy - Mar 29, 2017 There's some processes you can't kill even if you are admin, namely the infamous "SYSTEM" process, which has PID 4, so, bottom line is, exclude those processes or place a try-catch and deal with the rest. Are you just trying to kill system processes with a loop? Because if yes, you might want to target a specific process to crash the system, otherwise you'll be drawing blanks. * - Mr. Robot - Mar 29, 2017 Have you tried disabling it in services? Windows+r services.msc Disable on startup - reboot Or try msconfig and disable in there. * - matty45 - Mar 30, 2017 I have decided to give up at the moment until i learn more knowlege about c# * - Dan Siebels - Apr 13, 2017 make sure you change prc. to whatever you have in front of prc.Start(); Code if (Environment.OSVersion.Version.Major >= 6) |
